Day One

Day one of the dreaded deployment. At least it has started because for a while it felt like it would never come, and it was just so confusing. Of course I don't want him to go, but at the same time, I knew he was going to leave so I almost wanted him to leave early just so we could just get this over with already. Ug. Now of course I wish he was here. It still hasn't really sunk in yet, only a little now that I'm in bed writing this and he's not here. Over all though, I'm doing alright. Carlie is keeping me on my toes and is cracking me up with everything she does! Well almost everything...we won't talk about the diaper explosion she had today which resulted in an immediate emergency bath. But other than that, she has learned to fake cough and she woke up from her nap and was "coughing" in her crib. Lol She also follows Vinny around the house and watches him through the window when he goes outside and just laughs when he comes around. Vinny is so good with her too, she pulls on his collar and he just kisses her hands and lets her do whatever.

We did have a few mishaps today, which make me laugh because of course there would be! I got a call from Jared about 5 mins after I dropped him off at the air terminal, he said he left his cranial at the house, so I had to go through the whole saying goodbye thing all over again. But, the second time was much easier than the first, so it wasn't too bad. Then we had Carlie's diaper fiasco, and then Vinny threw up a couple times. Lol then I went to the commissary to get a few groceries and left my debit card at home, so my mom saved the day by putting money in my old WECU account with only 10 mins before the store closed. I was putting the groceries away and knocked a whole thing of bread crumbs on the kitchen and dining room floor that got all in the carpet. While I was cleaning that up, Carlie was busy eating Vinny's dog food. Lol oh jeez what a day! Anyways, I hope this whole thing works because Jared took the computer with him and this is my first posting from the iPad. I am waiting to get the attachment for my camera so I can post pictures. So for now, you're stuck with me just blabbing for awhile. :-)
